Lamb Lake Bass Masters 2009 Scholarship Winner
Ms. Allison Mitchell is the 2009 recipient of the first Lamb Lake Bassmasters Dollars for Scholar’s, scholarship award. Included in the picture is Mr. Joe Park, the Dollars for Scholar’s Advisor. This year’s recipient graduated from Indian Creek High School with a 3.1 GPA and will be attending Franklin College in the fall of 2009.
She will be a science major, and while yet early in her college career, is considering areas relating to conservation of various types.
A $500 scholarship award was presented by Mr. Joe Park to Ms. Mitchell at the Indian Creek Annual Awards Banquet, for graduating seniors. It was presented in the name of the Lamb Lake Bassmasters. Funds to support this project were earned through various money making projects and were held separate from the club’s Annual Clothe-A-Child Program.
The Scholarship is available to one student who has a GPA of 2.9 or higher, planning to attend a course of study in a four-year college, junior college or other accredited school meeting the criteria noted below.
•The applicant must submit a 500 word essay on environmental conservation with the application.
•Preference should be given to applicants studying in the area of :
oConservation
oEnvironmental Studies
oMarine Biology
