About Cordry  and Sweetwater Lakes
   Sweetwater Lake is a 360-acre private lake, and Cordy Lake is  260-acre private lake.   The 2 reservoirs were built in the 1960’s and are surrounded by beautiful rolling, wooded landscape. The lakes are located 5 miles south of Nineveh in Northern Brown County, Indiana.      
Lake property ownership provides you with good fishing, boating, water-skiing and other water sports, a private beach with shelter house, and lots of nature & wildlife!  The lake is home to geese, ducks, many variety of woodpeckers, loads of other birds, and visiting home to loons.  If you are a nature lover, you will have opportunity to see deer, foxes, raccoons, coyote, and all the other local "critters."
    The community is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is close enough for an easy commute to Columbus, Bloomington, and Indianapolis.  The nearby towns of  Nineveh & Trafalgar offers banking, grocery, hardware and other shopping, restaurants, hair salons, auto repair, a health clinic, a library, and churches.

	•	1 hour to Downtown Indy or the Airport
	•	30 minutes to Columbus
	•	30 minutes to Nashville Shoppes
	•	20 minutes to Trafalgar 
   A $24 per year fee is is assessed on each lot for road maintenance and snow removal.  Voluntary dues of $75 per year help to support the maintenance common areas, clubhouse and the fire department.  4 watercraft are permitted per lot owner.  Boat restrictions are 19 feet in length for outboard motors and inboard/outboard motors & inboards, and 28 feet in length for pontoons.  Horse power is limited to the Coast Guard rating on all boats except pontoons, which are limited to 100 hp.  There is a 40 mph speed limit on the lake outside of the idle zones.  Jet skis are not permitted.  Students living in the lake area attend the Brown County Schools system.
